Board of Directors Michael J. Cataldo, Chairman of the Board Mr. Cataldo comes to QVL Pharmacy with a wealth of entrepreneurial leadership experience. Prior to QVL Pharmacy, he spent seven years as a private investor and management consultant focused on early stage companies, applying his experience as a start-up founder and CEO to develop business models and execution plans. In 1997, Mr. Cataldo founded MediVation, Inc., which developed the first ePPi (Electronic Provider Patient Interface) an internet-based solution that allowed doctors to connect to their own patients. Having established MediVation as the ePPi market leader, Mr. Cataldo sold the company to McKesson Corporation in 2000. Previous roles include the general manager of Optika Imaging's healthcare division and vice president of sales and marketing for STC Corporation whose DataGate product became the de facto standard for healthcare integration technology during his tenure there. He also held various management, marketing and sales positions at IBAX Healthcare Systems, Shared Medical Systems and Cable and Wireless. Mr. Cataldo graduated from Columbia University with a B.A. in Economics in 1983. |

David L. Bryant
In his role as CEO of QVL, David brings twenty years of strategic consulting and operational experience with service in the U.S. military. Throughout his career, David has helped grow companies, from early-stage businesses to larger corporate initiatives, privatizations, and public offerings. His expertise includes driving double-digit growth with new ventures and turning around underperforming businesses. Most recently, David was CEO, President of iVital, Inc., a retail weight loss company for outpatient weight loss surgery (gastric banding) and integrated, patient-centered, performance-based aftercare, but David has also held leadership roles with American Institute of Gastric Banding, General Electric, Williams, Electrolux, Bain & Company, and U.S. Coast Guard. He has been recognized with awards including GE’s Middle East & Africa Award for Growth, Frost & Sullivan’s Award for Growth Strategy, and multiple military qualifications and awards. Earning his BA from Southern Methodist University, and his MBA from the University of Virginia (where he was a Citibank Fellow and received the Roger H. Sherman Scholarship) David played varsity football for SMU, and football and golf for the U.S. Coast Guard Academy, where he also studied Marine Engineering. |

Robert M. Hoyt, PhD
Dr. Hoyt is a Managing Member of Crestview Capital. Prior to Crestview, Dr. Hoyt specialized in executive coaching long before that term was popularized. In 1991, he assumed control of an industrial distribution company in order to apply his management approach to his own enterprise. He made a strategic shift from traditional distribution to supply chain management and built the operation around personal growth, accountability and control. The company grew from $6 million in 1991 to sales of $300 million in 1999. Before joining Crestview as a Managing Member, Robert Hoyt founded Jennison Associates to improve existing companies and through a Company Report Card assessment where he rated micro cap companies on the strength of their business model and ability to execute. Dr. Hoyt has a Master of Arts Degree from Northwestern University and a Ph.D. in clinical psychology from Yeshiva University. |

David L. Maher, RPh
Mr. Maher is the former vice chairman and Chief Operating Officer for American Stores Co. (which operated 1,700 locations under the Osco and Sav-on brands, among others), bringing 35 years of experience in the retail and health care industries to QVL Pharmacy’s board. After graduating from the University of Iowa’s pharmacy program, Maher began his career as a retail pharmacist in 1963. Since then, he has been recognized as Retailer of the Year by the Institute of Retail Management at California State University, Chain Drug Retailer of the Year by Chain Drug Review, and was awarded the Arnold and Marie Schwartz Retail Drug Institute Man of the Year. Currently, Maher serves as chairman of the board of trustees for the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Allied Health Sciences and sits on the advisory board for the University of Iowa’s College of Pharmacy. |
